Conveniently situated for the A467, the cottage makes a great base for walkers and cyclists discovering the woodlands, mountains and fields of this stunning part of the Welsh countryside. Entering this stylish detached cottage you will find the spacious double-height open-plan lounge/diner/kitchen which makes a fantastic living space to relax in. The ground floor also offers a sauna, a private gym, an attractive bathroom with a sumptuous spa bath, and a cosy snug with a selection of books and holiday leaflets. Upstairs, the galleried landing has a table tennis/snooker table and a snug seating area perfect for relaxing with a good book. The pretty super-king-size bedroom features skylights in the low sloping ceiling. Outside, the grounds are shared with the owner’s house, and you will have access to a private patio which makes a lovely spot for a glass or two of wine in the evening. Exploring the grounds further you can head out into the surrounding fields and woodlands. The cottage is ideally situated for exploring the south-eastern part of the Brecon Beacons National Park. Nearby are West Monmouthshire Golf Club which is the highest golf course in the UK(1.5 miles), Parc Bryn Bach (7.5 miles), the oldest cinema in Wales is a mile away in Brynmawr, and Keeper’s Pond (6.5 miles) which is a great spot for wild swimming. The Blaenavon World Heritage Centre (5.5 miles) is home to attractions including the Blaenavon Ironworks and the Big Pit. The popular towns of Abergavenny and Crickhowell (both 12 miles) have plenty of great places to eat and drink. The Brecon Beacons offer miles of superb walks and bike trails.
