Local landmarks and attractions include the remains of Talley Abbey overlooking Upper Talley Lake (1 mile), Dinefwr Castle and Newton House (both in Dinefwr National Nature Reserve – 9 miles), Carreg Cennen Castle, Aberglasney Gardens, Herbert’s Quarry and the National Botanic Garden of Wales (all within 16 miles).
