Arrive to welcoming treats at this characterful bolthole which sits close to the England/Wales border at the foot of the Black Mountains. Spend your days exploring the peaks, lakes, and bustling towns of the Brecon Beacons National Park before returning to bubble the night away in the hot tub or fire up the BBQ for a summer feast. Sleeping four over two gorgeous bedrooms this is the perfect home for small families or couples looking to escape. Step inside and settle in the open-plan kitchen/lounge/diner where country charm and rustic features create an inviting heart of the home. Find a comfortable spot on the sofa or a chair and get cosy in front of the wood burner and the TV/DVD. With plenty of room to cook, the kitchen boasts elegant style and you can plate up at the table or outside on the patio. After relaxing nights in the hot tub or sat under the gazebo with a drink, head to bed on the first floor. There is a king-size bedroom and a twin which can be made up as a super-king-size on request which is treated to an en-suite shower room. Start your day with a soak in the family bathroom before heading out to explore. There is ample off-road parking. The local village of Longtown (1.5 miles) is a great starting place for a walk with many well-trodden tracks and trails passing through. Summit the tallest of the Black Mountains, Waun Fach (17 miles) or hop on the Offa’s Dyke Path for a good old hike. From Abergavenny (9.5 miles) climb the Skirrid, Blorenge and Sugar Loaf mountains, or ascend Table Mountain from nearby Crickhowell (15 miles). 20.5 miles away, the cathedral city of Hereford is great for a day out with lots of shops and eateries awaiting your arrival.

Beautiful barn at the foot of The Black Mountains, ideally situated for visiting the surrounding area. The barn is warm, extremely comfortable and very well equipped. Hatterrall Barn was just perfect. The attention to detail and thoughtfulness put into this space really helped us feel at home in this luxury accommodation. Hatterall barn is a lovely place to stay, and fully equiped, right down to the flip flops for the hot tub!!! The finish of the decor is such that even tho the property has been available for 5yrs or more, it still looks very good. Sally and Martin are the perfect hosts too, with nothing too much trouble.

One of the best properties we have stayed at in the UK. The barn has been tastefully decorated and is very well equipped. We enjoyed making use of the hot tub after our walks. It's situated in a beautiful location with stunning views. Would highly recommend.

Really fantastic place to stay and get away from it all. Place was spotless and a fabulous welcome pack including home made cakes. Owners on hand should you need anything and even helped out when we had a flat tyre. Totally recommend staying for a lovely holiday.

This is a beautiful property in a lovely area of the UK which was new to us, and we really enjoyed exploring. Sally & Martin were excellent hosts and so thoughtful.
