Perfect for adventurous romantics, this inviting hut boasts a fantastic rural setting with plenty to explore nearby. Discover castle country to the north or travel 3 miles south to Usk where welcoming pubs and waterside walks await. Bring your four-legged third wheel along and get cosy together in front of the wood burner or the firepit after days in the great outdoors. Climb steps to make your way inside this welcoming hut which sits in a pretty, enclosed garden in the owner’s grounds. Tranquil tones flow throughout and with plenty of natural light flooding inside, you’ll find it easy to switch off and relax in this rural setting. Cleverly designed to maximise space, the open-plan living area consists of a small kitchen area, a table for two and space to curl up in front of the warming wood burner. The coffee machine is a welcome addition when your plans require you to rise early, and you can enjoy your morning drinks outside in the garden where there is a hammock and outdoor furniture. Enjoy post-adventure BBQs here before settling into bed in the inviting double bedroom. There is parking available. Tucked between the Brecon Beacons National Park and the Wye Valley Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, fill your days with walks, hikes and scenic picnics with food picked up from some fabulous foodie destinations. Make the 3-mile trip to the market town of Usk and visit the castle, wander the river or tuck into tasty food at one of the pubs. The Gateway to Wales, Abergavenny, is 12.5 miles away and hosts an annual food festival, boasts walks up the Sugar Loaf, Skirrid and Blorenge mountains, and has many cycling routes for you to follow if you want to explore on two wheels.

The Cwtch was absolutely lovely, and my dog Rex absolutely loved being outside all day playing with his Frisby. I would definitely recommend this stay for anyone with a dog, and I would definitely go back in the future.

The shepherd hut was equipped with every you need to have cosy holiday. I was on my own the weather wasnt good but I needed the break from hustle and bustle. The owners were very nice if I needed anything they were there. Would recommend it.

We had a fabulous stay in the cwtch hut, it's small but perfectly formed. It has everything you need with lots of clever little storage places to keep your stuff. The town of Usk is only a few minutes drive, with pubs, shops and a co-op, with plenty to do and see around the area. Fantastic, dog friendly property. The small, quirky shepherd's hut had everything we needed & the large outdoor space was a real bonus. Great location, we were in easy reach of the Wye Valley as well as the local area & enjoyed exploring.

A little piece of heaven! Total break away from fast paced living to just relax. We were made so welcome. We visited Usk for a lovely meal on Sunday at Kings Head Pub and did lovely circular walk there. We had fantastic weather but cooler nights were spent by cosy log burner underneath fairy lights. What a wonderful hideaway! The Cwtch Hut is a truly exceptional shepherds hut, built and furnished beautifully. Despite the sub-zero temperatures during our January stay, we were so warm and cosy all night long. Fabulous little gem if you are looking for a quiet, relaxing, cosy get away from the modern hustle and bustle of life. Well situated for privacy but also accessing great walks and local points of interest as well as a brilliant pub within walking distance serving amazing food.

The Cwtch - Perfect in every way! A great little hideaway with everything you could possibly need. Within walking distance to The Hall Inn that does great food, and its uphill going and downhill coming back. Spent 4 nights here, very peaceful, and only the wildlife noises. We loved our stay at the Cwtch Hut. Its amazing how much comfort has been squeezed into such a tiny space! The location is beautiful and peaceful, and we enjoyed exploring the area. Just a note for if you have a dog that struggles with livestock- there were cows in the next field at times. We had a totally relaxing time staying at the Cwtch, set in peaceful surroundings, it was lovely waking up to the sound of the Buzzard or catching sight of the owl of an evening. The hut was comfy, cozy, well equipped and a great place to recharge the batteries!

Both my partner and I cannot fault our time at the Cwtch Hut. We absolutely loved it. The surroundings are beautiful and the hut is so clean. Its the perfect staycation if you have a dog too our GSD had the time of his life. We will be rebooking for next year!

This hut is the perfect getaway. Secure space for your dog to roam freely. Rachel text upon arrival to ensure we had all we needed. Beautifully decorated and immaculate throughout. Highly recommended to anyone looking for a break from everything.

Lovely accommodation in a peaceful and quiet countryside location. Owners were friendly and welcoming and the cabin is well fitted out with a small cooker, fridge and tea and coffee making facilities. I'm so glad I found this lovely place! It is just amazing! So peaceful, relaxing and recharging. Everything you need is there - all our creature comforts catered for and absolutely spotlessly clean. I was surprised to see the toilet and shower is actually in The Cwtch, not outside. Drinking tea by the pond, wandering down the lane to the Hall Inn for a local ale, playing with my dog who had so much safe space to play and run in, relaxing beside the firepit star-gazing in the evening - I was relaxed the whole time.
