Discover the picturesque village of Grosmont, a charming spot that straddles the Welsh border and lies just 7 miles from the Brecon Beacons National Park. This converted coach house property offers the perfect spot for two to unwind and explore: whether it’s the village’s castle or inviting pub, you can return home each and every evening to a cheerful holiday home with a lovingly presented decor. Located on the grounds of the owner’s estate, find experts nearby ready to offer a warm welcome and knowledge of the local area. This property boasts large windows and a neutral colour scheme which allows light to flood the property, making it feel instantly bright and cheerful. Step inside and discover a charming farmhouse kitchen with original stable doors and flagstone flooring. This room includes everything you’ll need to cook for two throughout your stay, although we do recommend picking up local fish and chips one night for an authentic British experience. Late nights can be spent with your canine companions in the cosy lounge with wood burner and entertainment, whilst the attic bedroom beckons for catching your forty winks. Here you’ll find a feature window and skylight promising stunning views to wake up to each and every morning. With the Wye Valley to one side and the Brecon Beacons National Park at the other, you’ll never feel short changed when it comes to walking routes and activities throughout your stay. Discover unforgettable mountain ranges in the Brecon Beacons and tackle the Waun Fach (19 miles) or Sugar Loaf (15 miles) throughout your stay. Whilst in this area you’ll no doubt stop off in popular Abergavenny (11 miles) with its quality eateries and plenty of local amenities, or perhaps venture a little further afield to the quaint town of Crickhowell (14.5 miles).

We absolutely loved staying in this delightful cottage, nestling in the beautiful Welsh countryside. We were given a wonderfully warm welcome by our host who had thoughtfully left fresh flowers and eggs for us on our arrival. This little coach house is very small but was perfect for what I needed. I had two dogs with me. Porter who is a cocker/collie cross and a cocker puppy called Tonik. The location is convenient for a morning and evening walk round Grosmont Castle grounds with the dogs and there are so many other wonderful places to visit just a short drive away. You'll find this cottage next to a busy road. So if you want a quiet location I wouldn't recommend this house. It was a lot of money for a house that didn't even have decent coffee making facilities. Disappointing!

The coach house is a lovely place to stay, comfortable and well equipped. The owner is so hospitable and very helpful when we had a problem with our car. She was happy for us to sit in her beautiful garden and we enjoyed our stay here very much. Grosmont is a pretty, friendly village in stunning countryside. Cant recommend the cottage enough.

The perfect holiday cottage in a beautiful setting located in a picturesque and very quiet village (with a good pub). If you like bird watching the garden was full of birds. Ideal location for walkers especially if you intend doing the 3 castles walk. We had a very relaxing week thank you to the best host.
