Good Day Out - Guest Blog from Julia Blazer

Julia Blazer is the founder of Brecon-based Good Day Out and her blog today shows some of the great things to do in the beautiful Brecon Beacons.

If you are staying in the Brecon Beacons and are looking for something different and worthwhile to do during your stay in the stunning Brecon Beacons area, then check out Good Day Out which offers “days out that make a difference”, that all help good causes in some way.

There is a massive variety of things to do.  From visits to animal sanctuaries, gung-ho mountain trips, canyoning down rivers, hawk walks, to nurturing your creative self with special art or craft workshops. There are also history and heritage themes, and hands-on rural skill courses in traditional hedge laying and dry stone walling. All experiences are within small groups with high levels of engagement and carried out by interesting, fun and committed trainers or leaders. We are adding new themes and trips all the time.  We plan to find something to interest everyone!

The concept is similar to buying a goat for a worthwhile cause, but you also get to play with it first. A portion of the money from your Good Day Out helps small heritage & environmental projects and other local good causes.
