Go West for Arts & Crafts in the Brecon Beacons

A stay in the West of the Brecon Beacons National Park is full of variety. It's much wilder and less populated than the Central Beacons. You can walk or cycle for ages without seeing anyone else. Take a day trip to the beach, just 30-60 minutes away, depending where you stay. And, there are loads of events, workshops and exhibitions to take in while you're here. A few upcoming arts and crafts activities in the West of the Brecon Beacons have caught our eyes...

- Make a leather tote bag while you're here, with artist Nia Denman at Oriel Myrddin Gallery in Carmarthen. This weekend (21-22nd July).

- Visit stunning Aberglasney Gardens and take a look at the local arts exhibitions over the summer.

- Wonderful workshops at the Botanic Garden of Wales on the weekend of 28th/29th July, on digital photography and painting with acrylics. On August 11th,there's a workshop on paper-making with garden plants.

You could stay at any of our properties in the West of the National Park around Llandeilo and Llandovery. Have a look at Clear Water Cottage, Clear Water Barn, one of our most environmentally friendly cottages - Llys Lodge and Llywn-y-Neuadd.
