Dog holiday checklist

What are the criteria for a perfect holiday for our faithful friends....

1) A wonderful dog friendly cottage?

Tick! Have a look at our selection of cottages which welcome dogs.

2) If yours is a wanderer, an enclosed garden?

Tick! We have lots of dog friendly cottages with enclosed gardens - but be careful, because even the most secure fence won't keep in a burrower or leaper, and small dogs can get through tiny gaps!

3) A dog friendly pub nearby?

Tick! Lots of the pubs and restaurants in the area are dog friendly. Check out our Dog Friendly Brecon Beacons Guide for more details.

4) Walks from the door?

Of course! Given the area, most of our cottages are ideal for walking. Here's a selection of dog friendly cottages with walks from the door.

5) Somewhere to cool off?

Well, the Beacons are renowned for rainfall, and the upside of this is the amount of rivers, streams, and lakes which provide great cooling off spots for hot, thirsty dogs.

6) Things to do

Another tick. With 520 square miles of parkland, there's plenty of opportunity for walking. But if your dog is more inclined to relaxation, it can take time to peruse the dog-friendly shops, restaurants and pubs in the area, or visit one of the local groomers.

Happy holidays to you and your faithful friends!
