The art of healthy holidays…

However you feel about the budget and whether we are in or out of Europe …

The best six doctors anywhere...

And no one can deny it...

Are sunshine, water, rest, air, exercise, diet.

Sunlight stretches over the hills and mountains greening the grass and fattening the lambs for market. Try Artist’s View, Brest Garth, Pentre Parr, Ridgetop, Ty Vern, and Yr Allt.

Waterfalls, streams and rivers, Llangorse lake and many reservoirs – there is plenty of it. Try Waterside cottages and don’t forget our cottages with hot tubs.

Rest is what we offer, in a cosy hillside cottage, a large country farmhouse or a group of barns which can be booked together with family or friends.

Air, look at the lichen on tree trunks and branches which indicate air purity and science shows that breathing slowly and deeply can induce a relaxation response in the body so take a deep breath and slow down.

Exercise with a gentle stroll along the canal towpath or something more adventurous like bog-snorkelling, hill-bagging or gorge-walking.

Diet is so very important and local food can almost speaks for itself. Local producers offer meat, cheese, bread, biscuits, apple juice, wine and even whisky all within the park. Why not try one of the farmers markets which are held monthly in many villages and towns or even book to stay and visit the annual Abergavenny Food Festival in September, one of the biggest in Britain.

So now time to get in touch and book a holiday with Brecon Beacons Holiday Cottages. Any questions please call the team.
