Abergavenny Food Festival - last minute cottage bookings

Black Mountains Smokery luxury deli hamper - many of the producers will feature at the Abergavenny Food Festival

We’re looking forward to the Abergavenny Food Festival which is happening this weekend (15th September).  There are still tickets for many events that look amazing.  Our very good friend Adele Nozedar will be giving a talk with Tom Moggach “From Wild Food to Window-Boxes”.  These two authors will be sharing their tips on ‘stepping off the consumer treadmill from both ends of the spectrum – from countryside to city plots’.  Another local to look out for is Liz Knight who will give a talk with Trine Hahnemann, “Forage Ahead for Christmas”.

The Festival Party at the Castle looks like it will be one to remember with a mixture of music ranging from jazz, dance music explosions, Welsh folk music and romantic bohemian that will be complemented with a wide selection of food and cocktails and entertainment.  We can’t wait to see the leek jousting or the Comedy Waiters!

The event promises some of the best food in the world many who are based here in the Brecon Beacons including Caroline’s Bread Company, Welsh Venison Centre (Beacons Farm Shop), Black Mountains Smokery, Clam’s handmake Cakes,  The Blaenafon Cheddar Company, Trealy Farm Charcuterie, Radnor Preserves, Shepherds Ice Cream.  For those of you that can't make the festival, you will be pleased to know that you can buy this food locally, quite often by visiting the producers themselves.  Click on their links for more information.
