Usk Rural Life Museum
Run by local volunteers, the Rural Life Museum is based in a traditional malt barn in the town. It brings together a collection of interesting items to help portray rural life in Monmouthshire between 1850 and 1950.
Monmouth Castle and Regimental Museum In 1875 the site of Monmouth Castle became the head quarters of the Royal Monmouthshire Royal Engineers and remains so today, making it one of the few British castles in continuous military occupancy. The small, volunteer-run museum on site tells the story of the Royal Monmouthshire Royal Engineers, the only present-day regiment to have survived from the Militia
