National Botanic Gardens

Opened to the public in 2000, this incredible 500 acre site sits amidst rolling countryside in the Towy Valley. The gardens boast the largest single-spanned glasshouse in the world, and there are woodland walks, water gardens and events held regularly. Children can try pond dipping and den-building and everyone can enjoy the lovely restaurant and gallery on site - a great day out throughout the year.

Dinefwr Park and Castle

Occupied for over 2000 years, this beautiful site has played a key role in the history of Wales. With a 12th century castle, the historic and reputedly haunted Newton House, and medieval deer park to explore, Dinefwr is just outside Llandeilo and well worth a day’s visit.

Aberglasney House and Gardens

Aberglasney has a spectacular setting and absolutely stunning and restful gardens. The impressive Yew tunnel and the Cloister Garden are particular highlights and the ‘Gardener’s Cafe’ is open year-round serving fantastic local food.

Looking for something to do in the evenings or on a rainy day?  Llandovery Theatre offers a wide variety of entertainments whilst nearby Carmarthen has a large, multi screen cinema.  There is a good swimming facility in Llandovery and a full leisure centre in Carmarthen.
