Transport:
The train station is served by fast and frequent trains on the Cardiff and Manchester lines, with connections from London Paddington, Bristol and the south west of England at Newport, whilst nearby Hereford provides connections from Birmingham.
Good coach and bus services are based from the large bus station near the centre of town. For up to date information, have a look at Traveline Cymru. There are also plenty of local taxi firms that will be happy to help you reach your destination.
Shopping:
Abergavenny has a range of high street and independent shops. In the middle of Abergavenny sits a large covered market hall which plays host to numerous craft and antique fairs as well as regular flea markets. There is a Waitrose and Tesco supermarket.
