PENCELLI is situated at the foot of the Beacons between Talybont-on-Usk and Llanfrynach, it has a 17th Century pub "The Royal Oak", which has a lovely beer garden leading up to the banks of the Brecon to Monmouth Canal, which passes through the centre of this small hamlet with boats mooring up for the night or a drink in the pub. The Taff Trail Cycle Route, very popular with mountain bikers, passes through the village. A local farm shop sells organic produce. Lanes and footpaths lead straight up onto the Beacons , or more gentle strolls can be taken along the canal or river banks. Brecon only 4 miles away.
