Llyswen
A comparatively unknown area, but one which is noted for its beauty and tranquillity, the
LLYSWEN often wins "The Best Kept Village of the Year" for its mass of hanging baskets, tubs and well tended flower beds adorning the village shop, garage and houses. For the keen fisherman, on the outskirts of the village is the Dderw Farm, which has carp ponds. The Bridge End and Griffin Inn all serve good food and nearby is the famous Llangoed Hall Hotel owned by Sir Bernard Ashley. Llyswen is approximately 10 miles from Brecon and 7 miles from Builth Wells.
