Clyro
CLYRO is a small picturesque village 3 miles from Hay-on-Wye. It has lovely views accross the River Wye towards The Black Mountains. Beside the post office and shop is the impressive Ashbrook House where the Rev. Francis Kilvert wrote most of his diaries between 1865 and 1872. This now houses an Art Gallery, and across the street is the church where Kilvert was curate. Other local amenities include a village pub and garage with shop.
