Set high on the side of Llangattock Mountain, just above Crickhowell, the views are stunning and the area has so much to offer. From fine dining and fantastic shopping to walking and cycling straight from the door, there is something for everyone here. The setting is beautiful and the combination of the fresh invigorating welsh mountain air and the great food available locally will ensure that this romantic getaway will leave you feeling relaxed and restored. The cottage is situated high in the Brecon Beacons National Park within an SSI (an area of natural outstanding beauty) with nesting Peregrine Falcons, Red Kites and a variety of rare plants.

Cosy cottage accommodation

Willow Cottage sleeps two in one king-sized bedroom.  There is a large open-plan kitchen, living and dining room with a well-equipped gallery-style kitchen with an electric oven, hob, microwave, fridge and freezer. There is a dining table and chairs and  good quality and a comfortable sofa and chairs in the spacious living room area. 

Bedroom 1:  has a fine  king size bed and the luxurious bathroom has a Jacuzzi bath with shower over, handbasin and toilet.

    A cosy cottage for two

    With its elegant and particularly stylish interior Willow Cottage offers a "home from home" for your holiday. The cottage has been furnished with gorgeous fabrics many designed by the owner who owns her own design studio. The bedroom is particularly special with a very romantic King size bed draped with a canopy of pale cream and gold silk hangings and matching curtaining. The cottage is set in the grounds of the owner's country house high on the side of Llangattock Mountain, the cottage enjoys a private patio with lawned area and the willow tree that gives the cottage its name sits beside a little brook nearby - a blissful spot to enjoy a drink.

    Discover Crickhowell

    Crickhowell is a thriving market town nestled between the Black Mountains and the Brecon Beacons in one of the most beautiful valleys in the National Park. Visitors staying at Willow Cottage are just 2 miles from the heart of the town. Take a stroll down the pretty streets to the famous Crickhowell Bridge over the River Usk. The bridge is well known for its mysterious arches, 12 when viewed from one side and 13 when facing upstream. Explore Nicholls, the lovely department store with its range of clothes, footwear, stationary, jewellery, gifts, and home products and make sure you visit Webbs - a family run department store established in 1930. Drop into Number Eighteen - one of a number of great local coffee shops and then browse the art gallery and small boutique shops before lunching at the famous Bear Hotel, which dates back to 1432 and has won the 'Best Pub in Britain' award twice.

    A foodie's paradise

    Whilst staying at Willow Cottage you are ideally located for visiting the pubs and restaurants that have put this region of the country on the food map. There are several notable eateries within 20 miles and many others for you to discover. These include the Michelin Starred Walnut Tree, just 10 miles away and the multi-award winning gastropub The Hardwick, 8 miles away. The Gliffaes Hotel offers a fantastic menu featuring local produce and has some lovely dining rooms and a wonderful riverside terrace and is less than 4 miles from Willow Cottage. Alternatively head back into Crickhowell for a wealth of local eateries.

    Fantastic walks from the door

    Situated high up on the side of Llangattock Mountain visitors to Willow Cottage will be in a perfect spot to explore the extensive cave systems in the area, the ancient woodlands and walk the recently refurbished Brecon to Monmouth canal. Llangattock also boasts a number of other outdoor attractions, including rock climbing and the spectacular scenery of the area can also be enjoyed on foot or horseback along the extensive network of public footpaths and bridleways. Fishing is available in the River Usk and the canal.
