Sleeps 2. This superbly situated cottage, dating originally from 1580, has the most sensational panoramic views over Crickhowell to the Sugar Loaf Mountain and The Black Mountains.

The cottage has been restored to a very high standard with great attention being given to details for couples who just want to be alone together. The walls are painted with Farrow and Ball subtle colours, complimenting the beautiful furniture, fabrics and linen. The kitchen fittings are all of the very best quality and excellent craftsmanship is displayed throughout in the handmade oak stable doors and traditional windows, decorative lead flashing and lovely stone work. The cottage has a large Rowan tree behind, surrounded by meadows and has an enclosed stone patio, lawn and herb beds with a stone BBQ and garden furniture.

Cottage accommodation

Sleeps 2, one bedroom. An extremely high quality and beautifully fitted kitchen, brilliant for cooking, with a lovely cream oil-fired Aga set in oak units, microwave, fridge and a freezer, dishwasher and a washing machine. The sitting room has beautiful oak beams, sofas and chairs, a woodburning stove, dining table and chairs and a stylish flat screen TV with DVD. Dab Radio and an i-pod.

Bedroom 1: a large bedroom with beautiful cruck frame and oak beams, a king sized bed.

Off this is a bathroom with a large shower cubicle with power shower, a double ended slipper bath with handbasin and toilet.

  • Electricity, fuel and oil central heating.
  • Good mobile reception.
  • One well behaved pet welcome - be aware there are sheep in all fields.
  • Parking approximately 400 yards from the cottage along a grassy track. Wellies should be brought to the cottage in all seasons.
  • Not suitable for children.
  • Supermarkets that deliver here are Tesco, Asda and Waitrose.

    From the cottage you can walk on rights of way up to 55,000 acres of Common Mountain top, visit the Llangattock caves, or take a gentler walk to the Brecon & Monmouth canal - all without worrying about traffic!

    Abergavenny about 7 miles and Crickhowell about 2 miles.
