Pen-yr- Heol

Pen-yr-Heol is just perfect for a large family get together. This 17th century traditional Welsh long house with attached stone barn has been renovated and restored with much of the original character being retained. The house nestles at the foot of the Black Mountain on the western edge of the Brecon Beacons National Park and is situated 3 miles north of Ystradgynlais in the Upper Swansea Valley. The house sits in a large garden with half an acre of its own land. A mountain stream runs past one side of the property and a small river flows at the back (fenced off for small children). This cottage is an ideal base for a family or activity groups wishing to spend time together with easy access to both the sea and the mountains; and it is a very good location for visiting the new Geo Park. Golf 1.5 miles, fishing 7 miles.
