Pemberton House in Hay-on-Wye has recently been converted to a lovely cottage with a contemporary feel but in keeping with the age beautiful light oak has been used throughout for the floor, doors and windows. The house originates from the 1600's when it used to be a woollen mill and now "many lives later" it has been converted to a perfect, warm and comfortable cottage. For anyone wishing to visiting Hay-on-Wye to browse the book shops, explore the many antique and boutiques and to enjoy the food in the many excellent eateries it is a perfect spot. Park the car and leave it. Again if you wish to explore the Black Mountains, Wye Valley, Herefordshire Borders, Offa's Dyke Path, The Brecon Beacons and the Welsh Marches the place to stay. It is fairly close the renowned Kilverts Inn which offers good food and always seem to have a jolly atmosphere with people sitting out at the front watching life in Hay pass by. Pemberton House is a wise choice for a weekend break whatever the time of the year.
Cottage accommodation
Sleeps 5, 2 bedrooms. Downstairs there is a large open- plan room with a oak staircase leading up to the two en suite bedrooms. The new kitchen is well equipped including an electric oven and hob, microwave, kettle, fridge, washing machine, dining table and chairs. The living area has oak floorboards, comfortable sofas, TV/DVD and an efficient woodburning stove with basket of wood supplied.

Bedroom 1: the master bedroom is spacious with a double bed, a guest bed which converts to a twin or double, an en suite bathroom with a bath, shower over, handbasin and toilet.
Bedroom 2: has twin beds and an en suite shower room.
