Otter Cottage (OTTER) | Brecon

Sleeps 4. These three delightful cottages have been very well converted from a great stone barn on an 18 acre small holding on the remote Llangoed Common.

Otter Cottage

The smallholding, where the cottages are situated in the converted barns, are in the Tir Gofal scheme. This is a scheme for farmers to help them keep and restore the flora and fauna. The farm is 18 acres of enclosed fields set amongst 90 square miles of open hillside. The ponds have rare native crayfish. The smallholding is approached via half mile track with the most magnificent views. There is a Trig Point behind the cottage with 360 degree views of the Black Mountains, Hay bluff and Brecon Beacons. The nearest village is Bronllys approximately 15 minutes drive and at Felin Fach there is the excellent award winning Felinfach Griffin restaurant (Eat, Drink, Sleep) and the village pub called The Plough and Harrow.
