Number Ten is centrally situated in the small market town of Brecon within easy reach of the Brecon Beacons and so a perfect place for a walking holiday but with members who perhaps want a little more comfort these days. Brecon town has a selection of small local shops selling home produced meat, vegetables in the market arcade, books, gifts and antiques shops; there is a covered market twice a week and a monthly Farmers Market on a Saturday. An excellent theatre beside the canal, a privately owned cinema, the leisure centre, the superb Cathedral a few minutes walk away, the River Usk running through the town and several good restaurants and pubs serving food. Brecon hosts several events throughout the year with one of the most popular being The Brecon Jazz Festival.
Accommodation
An elegant, spacious and very luxurious imposing Georgian Town House in the charming market town of Brecon, sleeping 14 adults comfortably and a further four children if sharing the parent's bedroom, in 7 bedrooms. 5 of the bedrooms have zip and link beds.
The Georgian House, is the perfect house for a "special" birthday celebration, a small and intimate wedding, a christening or a reunion with family or friends. Thre are five comfortable en suite bedrooms and a further two bedrooms with a shared bathroom. There is an elegant dining room with a 'baby' grand piano and a drawing room with French doors opening onto a pretty garden with views over the roof tops to the Brecon Beacons and the Cathedral. The house, part Georgian and part Victorian has been completely renovated and restored to its original grandeur with great attention being paid to small details to ensure the comfort of visitors. A beautiful Georgian staircase gives access to the south side of the house and a grand Victorian staircase the north side of the house.

Bedroom 7: Two single beds. Shares a bathroom (with bath) with Bedroom 6.
This bedroom is up it's own small staircase at the back of the building.
The Georgian Dining Room will seat 18 people at a grand long table whilst the wide and generous "Victorian Palladian" staircase leads up to a magnificent drawing room with large comfortable sofas and chairs, a marble fireplace with an open fire. Sky Plus plasma TV. Elegant glass doors lead out to the terraced and well kept garden at the back of the house. From the garden there are views of both Pen y Fan, the highest peak in the Brecon Beacons and the Cathedral on the hill to the north of the town; steps also lead down to the lower courtyard with its hidden historic icehouse (that has been opened up for guests to sit in.)
The kitchen has been equipped to cater for large groups, with a large kitchen table and chairs, microwave, dishwasher, large catering cooker, microwave, dishwasher, large fridge and freezer, smaller fridge and large double sinks. The kitchen opens out onto a sheltered courtyard with garden furniture and a BBQ. A sun trap from May to September.
The cellar has been converted to a "subterranean den", wonderful for a group with children, with a very large digital TV and a second room with table tennis table. This area can also be accessed from the street and provides safe storage for bicycles. There is also a toilet and a full laundry next to the boiler room with washing machine/dryer, sink and drying rack.

Cordon Bleu Catering Service
A full Cordon Bleu Catering Service can be arranged or the freezer can be filled prior to your arrival. On-line shopping can also be done prior guests arrival and it can be arranged for someone to be there for delivery. There would be a charge for this service.
Brecon Beacons Holiday Cottages can also arrange for a "Pamper Yourselves Day" on prior discussion with the office and Activity Days can also be arranged.
Prices
£1,625 for 2 nights. £1,925 for 3 nights. £2,525 for 7 nights
Visitors will be asked to lodge a £300 returnable Bond with the Owners against "unfair wear and tear" and damage.
Friday is the preferred changeover day for weekly bookings but is open to discussion.
