Myrtle Cottage is a traditional stone cottage in the centre of this small village, it is spacious, warm and comfortable and has recently been renovated and furnished with a mix of antique and modern furniture and a lovely wood burning stove. Only a few door up from the award winning White Swan village pub and restaurant - so easy to walk to the pub every night! Llanfrynach is a small, quiet village offering excellent walks from the door with The Brecon and Monmouthshire Canal and Brynich Lock - where visitors alway gather to watch the canal boats passing through this picturesque lock. The Canal and The River Usk run parallel here until the canal passes over The River Usk on the historic aquaduct just two miles before Brecon. This is a lovely stretch of canal tow path to walk. Nearby family attractions include the nearby Cantref Adventure Farm with its indoor playzone and Pony Trekking Centre, another favourite for children is The Play Barn at Brynich just outside Brecon.
Cottage accommodation
Newly fitted kitchen with beech work surfaces, Shaker-style units, original flagstone floors and a Belfast sink. It is well equipped with an electric oven, halogen hob, microwave oven, dishwasher, two under-counter fridges with freezer compartments, washing machine and a kitchen table. A door leads out to a sunny garden and flagstone terrace with table and chairs. The separate dining room has an antique dining table and six chairs. A large gilded mirror sits above the traditional Victorian marble fireplace and there are interesting paintings and antique furniture throughout.
The light and airy double-aspect sitting room has French doors leading out to the pretty cottage garden with an apple tree, traditional flower beds and a lawn. The sitting room is newly carpeted with a large leather sofa, Persian rug and two armchairs. There's a woodburner stove with a supply of wood. TV with Freeview and DVD player.
