Mill Cottage is a delightful and private riverside cottage, cosy and comfy but not "too done up" it stands on its own and set it in it's own private garden, in the charming hamlet of Aber, just a couple of miles from Talybont-on-Usk. The cottage is perfect for serious walkers with plenty of footpaths straight from the village up onto the Brecon Beacons with no need for the car. This area with the reservoir and nature reserve is a bird-watcher's paradise with Talybont Reservoir just a few minutes walk up the mountain road and with the beautiful Blaen-y-Glyn waterfalls at the top of the valley. Mill Cottage is also perfect spot for Mountain Bikers with The Taff Trail passing the cottage. During the summer months Mill Cottage is idyllic set beside the tumbling stream. This is a perfect location for exploring anywhere in the Brecon Beacons National Park and is also on the mountain road over to Merthyr Tydfil and Cardiff - so can be useful for visiting the Welsh Valleys.

"We had an extremely relaxing time. Mill cottage lived up to the descriptions given on your site and our contact with the owner was very helpful in terms of details to be aware of in the cottage, ie the water on pump action system. Very cosy and well equipped " Blanche.
"We had a great time at the cottage. We loved the location and the relaxing view from the panoramic window onto the garden and the brook. We appreciated that the heating was on, the beds made and that the owner had left a personal note about some suggested walks and where we could contact her, if we encountered some problems. We also liked the fact that towels, linen and wood were included and not charged extra, which makes a big difference for a party of 6 people. Thanks to Brecon Beacons Holiday Cottages for your excellent and friendly service when booking." Beatrix.
