Llan Brook Cottage

Llanbrook Cottage is set in a village location and always offers a wonderful welcome and comfortably sleeps six guests in three luxurious bedrooms - the master bedroom has a fine king sized brass bed. This is a truly family friendly cottage giving " home from home comforts" with very good quality furniture and linen. This is a Picture Book 5 * cottage set in an enclosed garden and orchard bordered by a brook. The garden is well -enclosed and safely fenced so perfect for children to play in whilst parents can relax on the terrace overlooking the brook. There are several really good gastro-pubs in the area among them being The Bell at Skenfrith, The Hardwick and The Walnut Tree. For keen walkers there is of course Offas Dyke Path and The Black Mountains with its many interesting walks; one of which is The Three Castles Walk  taking in White Castle at near Llantilio Crossenny, Skenfrith Castle and Grosmont Castle all deep in glorious Welsh Border Country. There is so much to do here, enjoy the views from The Skirrid Mountain or visit The Black Mountain Falconry Centre at nearby Llantilio Pertholey. The cottage is approximately four miles from Abergavenny and  8 miles from Monmouth so really a good place to visit The Black Mountains and Welsh Border Country and stay in comfort.

Cottage Accommodation:

Sleeps 6 - 1 Kingsize, 1 Double, 1 Twin

A kitchen with everything one needs, an electric four ring cooker, microwave, dishwasher, pretty welsh dresser and a utility room with a large fridge/freezer, washing machine and tumble dryer. The dining room has a lovely chunky dining table with chairs. The sitting room is warm and inviting with deep brown leather sofa and chairs and a woodburning stove.  Sky TV with DVD and Wifi  is available.

    5 star comfort

    Whilst retaining the eighteenth century original features such as the oak beams and flagstone floor, the cottage has been beautifully restored to provide warm and comfortable accommodation, with an extremely well-equipped kitchen, comfortable leather sofas and chairs and a chunky wooden dining table and chairs. A woodburning stove and traditional Welsh dresser add to the country cottage feel. The three bedrooms comprising a twin room and one brass king size bed and one double room have good quality beds and crisp white linen, all the rooms tastefully adorned with beautiful soft furnishings. The bathroom has a bath, handbasin and toilet and an excellent large power shower.

    Child friendly garden

    The Llanmynach Brook runs along one side of the garden, it is securely fenced for children with wrought iron railings, the private patio at the side of the cottage over looks the brook with its pretty table, chairs and lamp. At the front of the cottage is a safe and enclosed garden with a cherry, plum and apple trees and lawn.

    Abergavenny area

    Llanvapley itself is a pretty village, the nearest village pub is the Hog's Head at Llanvetherine, and closeby is the picturesque White Castle, one of the Norman castles on the Three Castles Walk. Only 4 miles from the market town of Abergavenny, this a great base for exploring the Brecon Beacons. There is a farmers market, local farm shops and the town is the food lover's haven with excellent suppliers of local produce . The well acclaimed restaurants such as The Hardwicke and The Walnut Tree are a short drive away. For outdoor activity enthusiasts and for a change from hill-walking there are a number of exciting places to go such as Para-gliding off the Blorenge, caving at Llangattock, pony trekking in the Llanthony valley. Mountain bikers will find great routes and the cottage has a secure shed for storing mountain bikes.

    Only 4 miles from the market town of Abergavenny and 8 miles from that of Monmouth.
