Architect designed eco-friendly house sleeping 8 in 4 bedrooms. An inspired rebuild of the old 17th century Lodge to the Henllys Estate with an interesting swooping curve at the back of the building which makes for rounded soft sweeping lines in the kitchen and bedrooms above. Warm and comfortable with oak floors with under floor heating, this is a superb 5 star property  and Visit Wales verified for walkers and cyclists and a real treat for families or friends alike.

Accommodation

Glass doors look out onto the garden with its large lawn, herbaceous borders filled with traditional native country cottage plants and herbs, and a wildlife pond, and open out on the sunny terrace perfect for outdoor meals and relaxation. 

Children are very welcome. At the bottom of the garden is a double swing for children, a very large lawn - great for kicking a ball.  There is also easy parking for three cars and a lockable shed for mountain bikes.

Kitchen has locally sourced oak floors throughout and bespoke units with reclaimed granite worktop. Fully equipped with a Rangemaster cooker, Eco - A rated fridge, freezer, dishwasher, washing machine and dryer, neatly hidden behind sliding oak door, keeping the space uncluttered.
 
A large oak refectory table seating 8 in the kitchen keeps this a family affair where everyone can comfortably sit around and eat together or work from with ample space. The open plan downstairs area has a large lobby and the sitting room area has a gorgeous silk carpet. Works of art  by local artists adorn the walls, comfy linen sofas, central double-sided woodburning stove Freeview TV and DVD,  CD player with Ipod dock and Wi-fi. TABLE FOOTBALL GAME - great for all ages! For convenience an extra downstairs toilet.

A "luxurious" welcome hamper with local and/or organic foods provided by a local delicatessen will be there on visitors' arrival.

The Llandovery area of Carmarthenshire  - known as The Garden of Wales

Treat yourself to comfort and luxury whilst you explore this quieter undiscovered Western area of the Brecon Beacons, known as the Garden of Wales and now part of the Fforest Fawr Geopark, designated in 2005 by UNESCO because of its outstanding geological heritage.

You will find along the Twyi Valley charming market towns such as nearby Llandovery, a Drovers market Town with the ruins of a Norman Castle, and some fine Georgian houses; Llandeilo- very popular with "foodies" renowned now for its great selection of excellent restaurants and food shops; Dinas RSPB Nature Reserve for a stunning walk along the river. Brechfa and Crychan Forests offer woodland and waterfall walks and new excellent mountain biking trails.

There are the Aberglasney Gardens, The National Botanic Gardens, Talley Abbey, Pumpsaint Dolaucothi Gold Mines, The Black Mountain with its ancient history, the secret and remote valleys like Rhandirmyn, Abergwyesyn leading through to the magnificent reservoir lakes in the Elan Valley. Mydffai, now The Welsh residence of Prince Charles, Prince of Wales.  The "Physicians of Myddfai" from medieval times became renowned for herbal remedies and Llyn-y-Fan Fach has the local legend of The Lady of the Lake.

This picturesque and stylish Eco House is also only 25 miles to the Ceredigion coastline famous for its peaceful, quiet and 
secluded beaches, sandy coves, bird, seal and dolphin watching.
