The cottage is very well placed for some good restaurants and gastro-pubs. Enjoy the atmospheric Skirrid Inn - reputed to be Wales' oldest pub or sample the delights of The Walnut Tree or The Hardwick, both award winners. Bring your mountain bike and ride from Abergavenny to Hay on route NCN route 42 Sustrans Celtic Trail. Self catering accommodation
A modern and well-fitted kitchen greets you as you enter Hatterall View Cottage. It has an electric hob, fan oven and a microwave. There is also a dishwasher, larder fridge and freezer. Make your way through to the bright and airy sitting/dining room where there is a table and chairs to seat 6 people, comfortable sofa, two easy chairs and a large TV with DVD and video player. Two sets of double doors lead out to the garden and give the room wonderful views. The shower room is modern and newly fitted with a large shower, handbasin and toilet.

Bedroom 1: the large bedroom with double bed. This room can also be furnished with a further single bed, a cot and a crib if required.

This space is wonderful for garden games and is a safe, enclosed environment for the children to play in - just watch out for the hens!

The owners of Hatterall View Cottage realise that going on a self-catering holiday can mean a big grocery shop on top of a long journey. In order to take the stress out of packing there is a standard or luxury grocery pack service available on discussion. Contents include staples like tea, coffee, milk and cornflakes, whilst the luxury pack allows you to prepare a full cooked breakfast on your first morning. A shooting enthusiast's dream
Whilst there are many outdoor activities to do in this area, Hatterall View Cottage is the place to stay if you enjoy or would like a to try your hand at clay pigeon shooting. Sarah, the owner of this cottage was the first British female ever to earn a place on the GB Olympic shooting team and represented her country in Athens in 2004. On discussion Sarah would be happy to take enthusiasts to the local Clay Pigeon Club for a little tuition.
