Gromain Fishing Lodge is now offering free pet charges for this summer.

Gromain was originally a Fishing Lodge for the Chichester Estate in the Wye Valley (now Llangoed Hotel - establish by Bernard Ashley after his wife Laura Ashley died) and dates from the 1930's. The lodge is set in the Wye Valley about a couple of hundred yards above the River Wye and across the road.  There is a very steep foot path leading down to the river and the Trout and Salmon fishing.  The lodge is set in delightful wooded gardens, in the spring, full of daffodils, snowdrops and bluebells, and a wealth of birds, including the resident jays.  Behind the lodge are fields, and a rocky hillside. A footpath runs up the valley and eventually joins the Wye Valley path.  Hay-on-Wye 10 mile. Brecon 12 miles. Builth Wells 8 miles.
