Ideal for walking The Epynt Way, close to Builth Wells and The Royal Welsh Showground; it is an easy drive up to Mid Wales and The Elan Valley.
Green Valley Farmhouse & Barn: Sleeps 10/12 visitors with 4 double bedrooms in the main part of the houses and a further bedroom and sofa bed in the barn.
The kitchen in the original part of the farmhouse boasts a lovely slate floor, hand-built oak units and is well equipped with a large kitchen table, giant American fridge/freezer, Smeg double oven and gas hob, microwave, washing machine/dryer, dishwasher and ample work and storage space. Double glass doors lead out onto the south facing terrace with views across the river valley. In the traditional oak beamed sitting/dining room there is a large antique table for more formal dining. In addition there is a large L-shaped comfortable sofa, set beside the woodburning stove within in the original stone fireplace.
Upstairs to four bedrooms:
Bedroom 1: A bedroom with a Queen sized double bed
Bedroom 2: A bedroom with a double bed
Bedroom 3: A bedroom with a double bed
Bedroom 4: A bedroom with a double bed.
All these beautiful bedrooms have stunning views, interesting furniture, fabrics and paintings.
A family bathroom has freestanding claw-foot bath, separate shower cubicle, handbasin and toilet.
The Barn end will sleep 2 visitors and a further 2 if using a sofa bed.
A stunning open plan space with oak flooring throughout, underfloor heating and vast, full height kitchen with the original exposed beams. The kitchen is flooded with light having massive glass doors leading out onto the south facing terrace with views to the Epynt Mountian. The barn kitchen is large enough to seat 12 people, has hand built oak units and is well equipped with a Smeg firdge/freezer and electric range cooker. Double glass doors lead through to a spacious sitting room, which has a light and airy feel with more double glass doors, leading directly onto the terrace. Here there are oak floorboards and limewashed walls with two comfy sofas around another woodburning stove with a SKY multi-channel TV, a DVD player and Wi-Fi.
Bedroom 5: A double bedroom with a king size bed and far reaching views to the south and east is on the ground floor.
Next to the bedroom is a modern bathroom with bath, electric shower, toilet and walnut vanity unit and basin.
There is a further double sofa bed here if required and a study area.

Detached converted Welsh Longhouse and Barn, set in the most idyllic, remote location, surrounded by beautifully landscaped gardens, a wooded ravine with mountain stream and with stunning views across the rolling green hills. This a wonderful house for those wishing to find peace and quiet and a relaxing space to get away from it all. The owner is a specialist in natural paint techniques and the house has been painted with eco paints throughout and furnished very tastefully with beautiful colours and natural textiles. The gardens have been planted seasonally so that there is always something of interest in flower; there is a decorative herb garden and a fine collection of trees.
Builth Wells 8 miles. Brecon 20 miles. Hay-on-Wye a 40 minute drive away.
New Year and Christmas, Royal Welsh Show and Hay Festival are £1500 for the week.
