Goose Cottage is a very attractively located converted barn on a small private estate with the meandering River Senni enclosing the grounds on three sides; this is a lovely and sunny spot for the cottage within walking distance of the small hamlets of Defynnog and Sennybridge where there are the few local shops and several pubs serving food. The Craft Shop and Tea Room called The Old School House, well worth a visit. Red Kite and Buzzards fly overhead and otters and brown trout swim in the river and sheep grazing peacefully in the meadows. The Mountain Centre is only a couple of miles drive and there are plenty of great walks up on the Myndd Illtyd Common where there are panoramic views over The Brecon Beacons.
