Glaslyn is a "60's" architecturally designed house built in a prime location outside the hamlet of Pennorth designed to take advantage of the superb panoramic views and to maximise the use of the natural light. With the large sun lounge it could be ideal for a Painting Group. The house sits in gardens with some very unusual and interesting specimen plants and shrubs with lawn and a small orchard at the bottom of the garden. Above the house is a range of stables and a barn so for visitors wishing to bring their own horses this is ideal. The house is also just off The Three Rivers Ride. The Allt Mountain with its ancient Iron Age fortress at the top lies above the farm with a bridle way to the top - this is about a half hour walk. The Allt was the inspiration for many of Henry Vaughan's poems. Footpaths lead in all directions from the house; one leads directly over the fields to Llangorse Lake. (15 minutes) The River Usk lies about half a mile from the house.

Llangorse Village with the excellent Climbing Wall and Pony Trekking Centre just outside the village are approximately 5 miles. The Adventure Farm and Play Barn at Cantref is about 4 miles, The Play Barn and restaurant at Brynich is about 3 miles. The Old Ford Inn, a 17th century pub is a mile away and The Black Cock at Llanfihangel Tal-y-llyn is approximately 1.5 miles. Brecon is 5 miles, Abergavenny 12 miles.
