Relax and enjoy the numerous home comforts at Glasfryn Cottage. Situation on the Southerly edge of the Brecon Beacons, visitors can enjoy a combination of mountain and sea air. There are plenty of places to visit and those looking for outdoor activities will be spoilt for choice. Explore one of the greatest natural wonders in Britain at the Dan-yr-Ogof show caves and try your hand at Geocatching, a 21st century treasure hunt! The cottage itself offers spacious and luxurious accommodation - a lovely place to come home to after a day climbing in the Beacons or strolling the Gower coast.

Spacious accommodation

Glasfryn Cottage sleeps 4/6 people in 2/3 bedrooms on account of the twin beds situated on the spacious landing area.

The cottage is arranged with the living accommodation on the 1st floor to take advantage of the fabulous views of the Sleeping Giant and over to the Black Mountains. On the first floor there is a very well-equipped galley kitchen with an electric ceramic hob, electric oven/microwave, a dishwasher, fridge with ice box and a washer dryer. The contemporary living area has a glass dining table and chairs, two large green sofas and a beautiful oak floor with underfloor heating. There is also a TV with Sky and DVD player, a DVD library, books and games are also provided.

Also on the first floor

Bedroom 1: a luxurious queen sized water bed, TV and comfy chairs.

The family bathroom has a superb state of the art corner jacuzzi steam room/shower/bath, bidet, toilet and hand basin.

Bedroom 2: The spacious walk through landing area has twin beds and a window seat with views of the Sleeping Giant.

Downstairsto

Bedroom 3: spacious bedroom with a king sized bed, sofa and en-suite shower room with toilet, handbasin and shower.

    A contemporary cottage with stunning views

    Glasfryn Cottage boasts numerous 21st century luxuries including a Queen size water bed and a state of the art steam room and shower unit in the family bathroom. The Cottage has Wi-fi and a good mobile phone reception as well underfloor heating. However, the layout of this spacious property has been designed with nature's luxuries in mind. The living areas on the first floor all boast wonderful views of 'The Sleeping Giant'. Otherwise known as Cribarth Mountain, the outline of the mountain top is easily recognisable as a reclining man. According to local folklore, the giant will awaken from his slumber and come to the aid of his people in their greatest time of need - a lovely tale and one to inspire the children.

    Beaches, valleys and mountains from one location

    Glasfryn Cottage is well placed to offer an excellent all-round experience of Wales. The wonderful Gower Coast is just 30 miles away and offers a huge number of beautifully clean, sandy beaches. Mumbles, the delightful Victorian seaside resort is only 45 minutes drive away and has a fantastic pier, harbour and beaches to explore - the boutique shops there are also good. Inland, and just 18 miles in the other direction is Pen-y-Fan, the highest peak in the Brecon Beacons National Park and a central point from which walkers and climbers can explore the Beacons. Glasfryn Cottage itself is surrounded by the Black Mountains and has views of the Sleeping Giant - a holiday here gives you a true flavour of Wales!

    Numerous local attractions

    Glasfryn Cottage sits near the southern-most edge of the Brecon Beacons National Park. From here popular attractions include the incredible Dan-yr-Ogof show caves, voted the greatest natural wonder in Britain by a recent poll and Craig-y-Nos Castle (or 'rock of the night' in English) with its wonderful surrounding country park. Henrhyd Falls are also worth a visit and promise breathtaking views.

    An outdoor enthusiast's paradise

    For those looking for an active holiday this location offers a huge choice of outdoor activities and sports that can all be arranged locally. Try your hand at kayaking, canoeing, geocatching (a little like a treasure hunt), gorge walking and cannoning. This area is also great for hill walking, climbing, cycling and mountain biking as well as fishing, golf, and horse riding.
