The cottage is in a wonderful location with masses of wild life. It is reached up a long winding lane through a sheltered valley, over the picturesque canal and then on through woodland. When we visited there were a family of buzzards calling overhead. The cottage is in the valley on the side of the Blorenge Mountain, with the World Heritage Site with Blaenavon in the Industrial Valleys, only a few miles over the mountain. There is open moorland with miles of good walking country and only sheep for company. The closest pub is The Goose and Cuckoo, a quaint little pub on the hillside.
