Beacons Gallop is part of a range of stone farm barns and is perfectly located for keen walkers and mountain bikers. The farm is right on the footpaths leading directly up to the Peaks of The Brecon Beacons with Pen-y-fan and Corn Ddu raising up behind the farm and cottages; the ancient Roman Road is nearby which is a relatively easy walk right through the Peaks of the Brecon Beacons with Pen-y-fan and Cribyn and Corn-ddu. The owners breed "Trotters" and there are some particularly lovely horses on the farm. Brecon is only 10 minutes drive and Cantref Pony Trekking Centre and Adventure Farm which children love only a few minutes walk down the lane.
The cottage has a wealth of oak beams and an open plan kitchen/dining/sitting room which has recently been newly fitted with an electric cooker with hob, a fridge with a freezer-box, a microwave, washing machine and a dining table with chairs. A comfortable leather sofa. The TV has freeview and a DVD.
Up a flight of narrow stairs to a bedroom with a double bed.
The shower room has a shower, hand basin and toilet.
Bring you own horse
There is of course superb riding on the hills just a couple of fields above and STABLES and GRAZING available if visitors wish to bring horses and parking for boxes. Again to be discussed before hand with the owners.
Ideal location for Mountain Biking
The cottages are situated on a farm specialising in horses and sheep thus the names of the cottages. An ideal location too for mountain Biking with the many bike trails. Below the farm is the ancient and beautiful church of Cantref nestled in the valley with its banks of snowdrops in the winter, primrose, bluebells and garlic in the spring.
The cottages are only 2.5 miles from Llanfrynach with the ever popular White Swan pub and restaurant and the same distance from the market town of Brecon with all its amenities.
