Dyffryn Cottage is in the peaceful hamlet of Painscastle, close to Hay-on-Wye. It's a sweet cottage, with roses around the door, a cottage garden, pretty bedrooms and a cosy sitting room with a lovely inglenook fireplace.
It's close to the Begwyns, a National Trust-protected range of hills which is ideal country for walking and rambling. The village pub, The Roast Ox, is just a very short walk away, a great venue for eating and drinking. This is a superb location off the beaten track with excellent walking Offa's Dyke Path, local pony trekking, golf, mountain biking, fishing, bird watching, canoeing or just browsing through the bookshops in Hay-on-Wye, only 6 miles away.
Cottage accommodation
Sleeps 6, 3 bedrooms. A pretty Shaker style country kitchen with electric cooker with hob, microwave, fridge and a freezer, dishwasher and a washing machine. Welsh Dresser, kitchen table and chairs. An entrance lobby with room for coats and boots etc. There is a cosy spacious sitting room with old oak beams, comfortable sofas and chairs, a long dining table and chairs. There is magnificent huge featured stone fireplace with a great oak lintel with a very efficient oil fired stove. Double doors then lead through to a conservatory with views all around the garden.
