The house which dates back to the early 17th century but was probably the site of a more ancient settlement, has been renovated with great empathy and care; great attention has been paid to every detail and the original exterior appearance of the farmhouse and barn has been retained in line with the National Park requirements. The stonework restored, oak beams and arrow slit windows retained and replaced. The interior combines antique furnishings with modern day comforts. The house has the feeling of timelessness with ravens and buzzards soaring overhead. A mountain stream tumbles down the valley behind the house whilst the sheep graze peacefully on the hillside. Cantref Adventure Farm and Riding Centre is nearby, mountain bikes can be hired locally and there are the most superb mountain walks straight from the door. This is an ideal location for lovers of wilderness, hill walkers, artists and naturalists. The owners live in the main part of the farmhouse (to the right of the line drawing).
