The house which dates back to the early 17th century but was probably the site of a more ancient settlement, has been renovated with great empathy and care; great attention has been paid to every detail and the original exterior appearance of the farmhouse and barn has been retained in line with the National Park requirements. The stonework restored, oak beams and arrow slit windows retained and replaced. The interior combines antique furnishings with modern day comforts. The house has the feeling of timelessness with ravens and buzzards soaring overhead. A mountain stream tumbles down the valley behind the house whilst the sheep graze peacefully on the hillside. Cantref Adventure Farm and Riding Centre is nearby, mountain bikes can be hired locally and there are the most superb mountain walks straight from the door. This is an ideal location for lovers of wilderness, hill walkers, artists and naturalists. The owners live in the main part of the farmhouse.
Sleeps 8 plus cot, 4 double bedrooms. On the upper floor of this beautifully converted farmhouse is a long galleried room with comfortable deep squashy sofas and chairs; a long dining table and chairs, a large very efficient woodburning stove, TV, CD, DVD, Wi-Fi and video, as well as a classic 60's Wurlitzer juke box. The views from all the windows are phenomenal, straight out onto Cribyn and Pen-y-fan and in the other direction to the Black Mountains. There is a long Welsh slate work surface in the well equipped kitchen area, with a larder fridge, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, microwave, large double oven, hob and waste disposal unit.

We loved Baddegai. Thanks for a great weekend. It was a great size for the 4 of us - giving us a double room with ensuite each. It was well-equipped too and was a great kitchen to cook in. We were thinking it would work well if all of us brought partners next time. Aslo the secure garden was perfect for the dog - we could just let him out and know he woudn't be off chasing sheep!
Thing that's could have improved the weekend? Not much!-
