Coachingmans' Cottage perfect for just two - it is a romantic pretty stone built terraced cottage in the centre of the tiny hamlet of Trecastle, the cottage has a large TV and a warming "electric" stove - very cosy to settle down with a glass of wine. This terrace of 1750's cottages, where coachingmen stayed when the Stage Coaches made the journey from London to Wales for the boats crossing to Ireland. The cottage is just a few doors away from the Castle Coaching Inn, a popular village pub with a restaurant. Trecastle always seems to have Red Kite soaring overhead and there is a Red Kite Feeding Station a few miles away at Llandeusant. From the village there are some good walks and mountain bike trails; there is also an 11th century Norman motte & bailey over six metres high - highest in the National Park. The Victorian School House is now an interesting antique centre where many bargins are to be found. There is a local farm shop and tea rooms and from the village there is easy access down to the more westerly parts of the Brecon Beacons National Park, Llandovery, Llandeilo and to the West Wales Coast just over an hour's drive.
