Just up the valley is Crickhowell with some excellent local shops, bistros and gastro-pubs.Brecon 8 miles. Llangynidr and Bwlch both 1 mile; Bwlch again with The New Inn, a jolly local pub with "pub grub". The bustling market town of Crickhowell is only 5 miles away.

We had a marvellous time and found the accommodation ideal for our purposes and the caretakers were very kind and helped us out when our car broke down etc. the on ly thing that was missing was a BBQ which would have been useful in the lovely weather.
