This really superbly restored Old Cider House was re-built in 1778 so is believed to have originally been built in the late 1400's. It was the cider house to the farm until 1958 with its cider press and wheel. There are many of the original features with the ancient oak beams and oak floor boards upstairs, the old granary steps and signs of where the cider press once stood. The busy owners, who run a large milking herd of cows at another farm, are very friendly and hospitable and also offer Bed and Breakfast in the farmhouse if there are extra friends or family members wishing to come to stay. The small village of Llanfihangel Crucorney is approximately 1 mile and has a village shop cum garage, and there are several very good pubs and restaurants in the near vicinity.

Customer Comments
We have just returned from one of our best family holidays yet, at the Cider House. We couldn't have wished for a better cottage, spotlessly clean and the owners on hand for anything needed but leaving us with peace and quiet. We had fantastic weather and have discovered some of the most beautiful walks and climbs we have done anywhere. We will definitely be returning over the next few years and will also recommend Brecon Cottages - our booking was very straightforward and a lot of the bigger holiday companies could learn a thing or two about efficiency from your staff!
