A pretty granary sleeping up to four guests, boasting a wonderful location in the scenic valleys of Brecon Beacons National Park. Ideal for families or friends sharing.

Part of the original farmhouse at Dan-y-Crug farm, this cottage exudes charm and is great for families and friends with a love for the great outdoors. A peaceful setting with pretty grounds to explore, you’re not far from the hustle and bustle of Brecon (3 miles), a market town with lots to do, eat and see.

Enter the first-floor, open-plan living space via an iron staircase and make yourself comfortable in the lounge. This spacious room is decorated with floral furnishings, creating a calm and tranquil space in which to put your feet up and relax. Light and bright, the kitchen has plenty of workspace for everyone to lend a helping hand at mealtimes. Plate up at the sociable dining table, or enjoy an al fresco dinner on the patio, shared with other properties on-site, and bask in the late sunshine. After dinner, take a tipple and meander your way down to the stream which flows through the grounds before returning inside to rest weary heads. Settle down for the night in either the double or twin room and drift off to sleep. The double has charming, exposed beams and both rooms are decorated with a country-cottage style. Freshen up in the shower room before heading out to explore.

Take children on a walk around the farm after liaising with the owners as to the whereabouts of their livestock, and enjoy mornings close to home. Summit the towering top of Pen-y-Fan, 9 miles from home, the highest peak in South Wales which offers panoramic views. Llangorse Lake is a 10-mile trip and is the largest natural lake in South Wales; enjoy a waterside wander or make the most of the exciting activity centres nearby.

We had a friendly welcome from Elizabeth, who showed us where everything was and caught up with us from time to time during our stay. The cottage was equipped with everything we needed for our stay. Great location for peace and quiet, its a working farm so allow for the relevant associated noises. Lovely cottage and well equipped little home for the week. Views of the farm were gorgeous, throughly enjoyed hearing the sheep in the mornings. Great location to visit the beaches in the Gower area, Brecon town was only down the road and pen-y-fan was a 20 minute drive. Other than the sofas being uncomfortable of an evening and no large mirrors toRead more get ready with, I cant fault the effort the owner has made to feel like home whilst youre on holiday. A lovely little cottage, perfectly situated for getting around the local area and easily accessible by car. If your wishing to walk to town its not the best place as its country roads. Its November and this apartment is very warm and cosy with views across the fields of sheep. Loads of kitchen equipment and snacks if you'd rather stay in on dark wet evenings. So close to great walks: mountains and canals and Brecon town centre. A great week.

The flat was perfectly acceptable in terms of location and equipment and the hosts welcoming and helpful. Were there four of us the seating in the lounge area would have been crowded as what you have there are two small two-seater learyher soffas.
