Nestled beside a 12th century Norman Church and the village farmhouse, The Bothy is a spacious and delightful barn conversion. Enjoying a village setting but surrounded by stunning views and numerous walks - this is the ideal base for those looking for a combination of the great outdoors and convenient facilities. Climb nearby Table Mountain with its Iron Age Fort in the morning and then head down to the famous Bear Hotel for a slap-up lunch. Arrange to explore the stunning Black Mountains on horseback and spend the afternoon browsing the many boutique shops and art galleries of Crickhowell. A break at The Bothy, which sleeps up to 4 people, offers something for everyone.

Self catering accommodation

Arranged to take full advantage of the views the well-equipped kitchen at The Bothy is upstairs. It has a fitted kitchen with fan-assisted oven, gas hob, microwave, fridge with freezer box, washing machine and tumble dryer. Also upstairs is a sitting/dinning room with a comfortable sofa and chairs, flat screen digital TV, DVD, CD, dining table with chairs. The views from this room are lovely and look across the Black Mountains. There is a spacious double bedroom, also on the first floor.

Downstairs

Bedroom 1:  is a comfortable twin bedroom.  Bathroom with toilet, handbasin, and bath with a shower over.

    Stream-side patio

    Take your croissants and juice and settle down on the sunny patio to enjoy an alfresco breakfast. The little stream provides a relaxing setting for reading the paper or enjoying a quiet meal and is a wonderful spot for wildlife.

    Crickhowell - a short walk through the church fields

    A comfortable half a mile stroll takes you through picturesque fields to the famous Crickhowell Bridge over the River Usk. The bridge is well known for its mysterious arches, 12 when viewed from one side and 13 when facing upstream. Follow the narrow street, lined with pretty Georgian terraces up to the market town's centre. You will be spoilt for choice in Crickhowell whether choosing somewhere to eat, buying local produce or browsing for clothes or gifts. 

    9 hole golf course on your doorstep

    Just 100m up the road from The Bothy is the Old Rectory golf course. This small, welcoming golf club is open to visitors 7 days a week and offers a par 3, 9 hole course with all weather playing facilities. The Monmouth to Brecon canal runs along the course boundary and the incredible scenery includes the majestic Table Mountain. Why not arrange a round of golf and then enjoy lunch in the grounds?
