Beacons View is a wing of the owners' 15th century farmhouse, situated on an organic 100 acre hill farm 850ft above sea level with the land rising to 1200ft; nestling between the Begwyn Hills and the seasonally heather covered Llandeilo and Llanbedr Hills (walks to these from the farm). One walk leads through an ancient oak wood which during the Spring is thickly carpeted with bluebells; another to a field with a good view of the Llanbwchlan Lake, a Nature Reserve where one can view all sorts of wildfowl. Bring your binoculars. The farm is home to badgers, hares, snipe, curlew, buzzards, skylarks, owls with regular visits by the red kite and peregrine falcon. A good percentage of British birds can be seen at various times of the year. Pony trekking and riding nearby; golf and canoeing within easy distance. Fishing can be arranged with the owner

We had an excellent week at our cottage which was absolutely perfect for us. Mr and Mrs Luxton were very helpful and friendly. The situation is idyllic and we would gladly stay there next time we stay in the Brecon Beacons. Everything was clean, very roomy and in good condition. The back garden was a paradise for any bird lovers.
We also found your booking procedures very easy and the staff helpful.-

The cottage was very clean, peaceful and cosy with a very comfy bed and there were fresh flowers and a bottle of wine from the owners; lovely touches.
The views were amazing and we saw woodpeckers and red kites from the window.
The owners couldn;t have been more kind, friendly and helpful. Lovely people.
