Ash Cottage is a very pretty traditionally built stone cottage with roses around the door in the village of Llangynidr. The cottage sleeps 4 people in 2 bedrooms and has been lovingly decorated and furnished by the owner. The spacious sitting room has a fine woodburning stove set in the original great stone fireplace with an inglenook and a bread oven, an oak lintel and a flight of the original steep stone stairs winding up behind the fireplace. Flagstone floors with rugs, oak beams and stone walls.
Cottage Facilities
The cream kitchen is newly fitted with pretty painted units, a fridge, microwave, electric oven with grill and a hob, a kitchen table and chairs and plenty of space for storage. Stone walls and oak beams. There is a comfy sofa (sofa bed) and two big armchairs around the focal point of the fire. TV with SKY (freeview) and DVD. A long antique oak/mahogany dining table with chairs and matching sash windows looking down the village street.
From the kitchen, a staircase leads up to the very pretty bedrooms and bathroom.
Bedroom 1: The first bedroom has a pair of matching twin beds blue and white bed covers, oak beams and a TV.
Bedroom 2: This double bedroom has an antique iron bedstead with again a beautiful bed cover, there are beams and stone walls.
The Bathroom is large and light with a bath, overhead electric shower, handbasin and toilet.
Just outside the kitchen door there is an outside utility room with a freezer, the washing machine and a toilet.
The garden is well kept and walled with lawn and a pretty summer house. Garden furniture.
